What Training with Balancd™ Looks Like
Structured, Guided Classes
Each class follows a clear structure built around Baduanjin Qigong, Tai Chi and Kung Fu Training. Movements are taught step by step, with clear instruction and time to practise.
Low-Impact, Carefully Designed
Training focuses on control, coordination and joint health rather than intensity. Classes are informed by exercise science and traditional practice, challenging without being punishing.
Progress You Notice
With regular practice, many students notice better balance, mobility and confidence in daily movement. Progress is practical and focused on how you move and feel, rather than pushing limits.
A Calm, Supportive Environment
Classes are welcoming, bilingual and community-focused. There’s no pressure to keep up – you move at your own pace and build consistency over time.
Our three disciplines

Baduanjin Qigong
Baduanjin means '8 brocades of silk' – eight gentle, breath-guided meditations, each targeting a different area of the body. This 800-year-old practice releases tension, improves mobility, and restores posture. Imagine the smoothness of silk as you glide through sequences that loosen stiff shoulders, backs, and hips, while cultivating calm, balance and body awareness.

Tai Chi
Slow, flowing sequences that build balance, coordination and focus through continuous movement. Rooted in Northern Shaolin Koo's Tai Chi Chuan, our Tai Chi develops body awareness, calm concentration, and controlled strength. Emphasising the interplay of Yin and Yang, this curated sequence is low-impact, gentle on joints, yet deeply effective for the body. Accessible for beginners yet deep enough to practise for years.

Kung Fu Basics
We incorporate functional exercises from traditional Shaolin training, specifically chosen to enhance balance, flexibility, lower body strength, and cardiovascular health. These are powerful, focused sessions designed to boost your metabolism, increase muscle strength, and promote a balanced body composition — while remaining welcoming to all levels. You'll leave energised, confident, and physically balanced.
*We offer both Tai Chi foundation and a 36-move sequence — so you can start simple and grow at your own pace.
