Why Organisations Work With Balancd™
Inclusive and Low-Impact
Movements are gentle, structured and adaptable for different abilities. Sessions can be taught standing, seated or modified, making them suitable for elderly participants, people with mobility limitations and mixed-ability groups.
Accessible and Scalable
Programmes can be delivered in person, online via Zoom, or in hybrid formats. This allows organisations to reach more participants while keeping costs and logistics manageable. Simple progress tracking tools also make it easy to monitor participation and outcomes.
Culturally rooted, modern delivery
Balancd uses traditional Chinese martial arts in a modern, practical way. Sessions are calm, easy to follow and focus on simple, repeatable movements without physical strain.
Bilingual & community-friendly
Classes are delivered in Cantonese and/or English, depending on the needs of the organisation. Clear instruction helps participants feel comfortable and included.
Our three disciplines

Baduanjin Qigong
Gentle, breath-guided movements from the Eight Brocades Qigong. Each targets a different area of the body, improving balance, mobility and calm. Accessible for seated, standing or modified practice, and for all ages and abilities.

Tai Chi
Slow, controlled sequences from the authentic Northern Shaolin form. Supports coordination, joint health and body awareness. Adaptable for mixed-ability groups and participants with varying physical capacity.

Kung Fu Basics
Safe, low-impact strength and stability exercises from traditional Kung Fu training. Builds lower-body strength, balance and confidence without contact or aggressive movements. Welcoming to all levels — participants leave feeling energised.
Programmes are tailored to your participants. We work with you to design sessions suited to the needs, abilities and realities of the people you serve – whether that’s elderly participants, children, caregivers or mixed-ability community groups.
What programs look Like

In-person courses
Multi-week programmes delivered at elderly centres, rehabilitation facilities, community hubs and schools. Sessions can be taught standing, seated or modified to suit different abilities and participant needs.

Hybrid courses
Designed for organisations supporting caregivers, home-bound participants or programmes across multiple sites. Courses combine in-person sessions with live Zoom classes and digital support for practice between sessions.

Community Wellbeing Events
Short programmes or one-off sessions for mental health days, health fairs or targeted community initiatives. A gentle introduction to movement, suitable for mixed-ability groups and first-time participants.
Case Study: A ProgramME for Caregivers
Balancd partnered with a large community charity supporting full-time caregivers who were unable to attend regular in-person classes. We delivered an 8-week hybrid programme combining in-person classes, live Zoom sessions and a dedicated group chat for questions and peer support.
Engagement remained high throughout the programme, with participants practising between sessions, tracking progress through simple fitness tests and proactively asking how to improve. Many participants asked how to continue practicing – demonstrating the impact of accessible, structured movement delivered at scale.
