Our three disciplines

Baduanjin Qigong
Gentle, breath-guided movements from the 800-year-old Eight Brocades. Reduces stress, loosens stiff joints, and improves balance and posture. Low-impact, easy to follow, and suitable for all ages and abilities, while remaining welcoming to all levels. You'll leave feeling calm, grounded, and restored.

Tai Chi
Slow, controlled movements from the authentic Northern Shaolin form. Builds balance, coordination, and focus while supporting joint health and body awareness. Beginner-friendly and accessible for mixed groups, with simple sequences practised together to encourage presence and flow.

Kung Fu Basics
Safe, low-impact strength and stability exercises from traditional Kung Fu training. Builds lower-body strength, balance and confidence without contact or aggressive movements. Welcoming to all levels, leaving participants feeling energised.
Case Study: Building a Workplace Practice
Balancd™ has worked with a Hong Kong construction company since 2019, delivering weekly onsite classes in Baduanjin Qigong, Tai Chi and Kung Fu Basics. Participation spans across all roles and levels, with employees joining at different fitness levels and our team adapting the training to suit people who spend long hours at desks.
Over six years, the programme has become part of the company’s culture. Employees who started with no exercise background now practice with skill and understanding. When participants face health challenges or mobility changes, the group adapts together – supporting colleagues through modified practice until they can return fully. The group holds each other accountable through encouragement.
